Prior to his death in 1987, Dr. Carl Rogers, Ph.D., was Resident Fellow, Center for Studies of the Person, La Jolla, California.
He was a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology and author of Client-Centered Therapy, Boston, Houghton-Miflin, 1951.
Dr. Rogers conducts the first therapy session with Kathy. She experiences Dr. Rogers as fatherly and feels at ease telling him about her fears and the “wall” she has built to protect herself from being hurt by others.
